Having admired the art form of drag at distance since adolescence, Thea finally introduced herself in October of 2020 with the debut of Time Warp Drag Show. Curating thematic, gender-bent, extravaganzas alongside her co-hostess Jessica Peru, the duo carved names for themselves as ambitious art students with a passion for performance, extending beyond curriculum.

While pursuing a Theatre degree at Virginia Commonwealth University, Thea was presented The Burnside Watstein Award for her ‘outstanding contribution to the VCU community’. In 2022, Time Warp was pulled from campus to the club, bringing with it a new wave of drag - show - goers.

Groovy and Golden, hosted by Thea Trickality and Jessica Peru, embraced the eclectic characters Richmond Drag had to offer. Their successful run cemented the duo as the first performers of their generation to be considered ‘show runners’ at Fallout RVA, having each championed Fresh Faces, a newcomer competition, the year prior.

In March of 2023, Thea became Red Bear Brewing’s second Miss Slay Them, crowned by Miss Slay Them 2022 Evry Pleasure. Throughout her reign, Thea was a staple in Red Bear’s popular bingos and brunches, hosted by Desiree Dik. In August, she brought her show That’s Enter { taint } ment a ‘Revealing Revue’ to Red Bear, fashioned with drag artists, burlesque performers, and theatre makers from across DC and VA.

Celebrating Pride month that same year, Thea hosted Ru Paul’s Drag Race Star Jaymes Mansfield on a three city tour at the height of her popularity, appearing on All Stars 8. The tour began in DC with Cake Pop and Venus Valhalla at their weekly show Thirst Trap Thursday before relocating to Richmond, VA for Brunch at the Branch with the Branch Museum of Architecture and Design. Finally, the tour concluded in Thea’s hometown of Lynchburg, VA at local hot spot The Water Dog, where Thea had been hosting a series of popular drag brunches.

Broadening her horizons, she traveled to New York City, running for Miss Hell’s Kitchen, a charity pageant put on to raise funds and awareness for those affected by HIV and AIDS. Of twelve contestants, Thea placed 5th making her Manhattan debut as the only out - of - towner. One month later, she won the title of Miss VA is for Laughter competing for Virginia Comedy Queen at The Wave, in Norfolk. In March, Thea Trickality will represent her home - state at the National Comedy Queen Pageant in Orlando, FL.
